And then there were 6.

I just wanted a simple road trip. My friend and I, on our way to Michigan for an Assembly. I am in no way capable of driving it alone, so I asked my "No Stress Travel Buddy" to help me make the drive. (2 days there, 2 days back).

I had visions of our last trip, we went to Omaha and had the time of our lives! Not the Thelma and Louise kind of fun, but the "Over the Bridge, Through the lights, Left, Left"-Brother dancing and singing directions- kind of fun!

Or the Chevy Chase's "National Lampoon's Vacation" type of a trip, although it may still end up being that kind, we'll see.

And since we are going to an ASL Special Assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses, DEFINITELY not the "Easy Rider" kind of a vacation. Besides, we don't have any motorcycles.

And we don't have a cool car like this to drive, either, so it won't be the James Taylor, Dennis Wilson (Beach boys) "Two Lane Blacktop type either.

What we have is a van. However, we are hoping all the doors are still on when we get home. Not like "Little Miss Sunshine".

So, started with just the two of us.

And then there were 2.

Friend # 3 made arrangements to come along. Awesome Pioneer Partners.

And then there were 3

We wanted another driver. And another Awesome Pioneer Partner.

And then there were 4.

We got so excited making plans -talked about our "tiara's" we were going to wear, making T Shirts, games to play on the way, that 2 others actually cancelled their plane tickets so that they could travel with us.

So, now there are 6 Awesome Pioneer Partners!

I just am hoping the trip is as much fun as the planning part has been. Hotel rooms on Hotwire, and shopping plans, and buying the Tiara's, and games-The Alphabet Eating game. You have to eat things in order of the Alphabet-1st an Apple, Then B-Burger, C-Candy. Oops we might just get stuck on C.
